Functional Overview: Function as following (default setting mode: Square wave, Hall, Open loop): 1. Run model: square wave, with hall sensor, open loop speed 2. Run model: square wave, with hall sensor, closed loop speed 3. Run model: square wave, without hall sensor, open loop speed 4. Run model: square wave, without hall sensor, closed loop speed 5. Run model: constant-torque device, open loop speed (Don't run for long time with overloading) 6. Run model: constant-torque device, closed loop speed(Don't run for long time with overloading) Attention: On the basis of our upper computer software and hand debugger, all the above functions can be set by yourself. Function Description: Speed Control Mode Selection (VSP): 1. The VSP port can be connected to an external potentiometer for speed regulation: the two fixed ends of the external potentiometer (5K~10K) are connected to the GND1 and +5V1 ends of the driver respectively. And the adjustment terminals are connected to the VSP end, which can not only use the external potentiometer to regulate the speed, but also input the analog voltage to the VSP end through other control units (such as PLC, single-chip microcomputer, etc.) to achieve speed regulation (relative to GND1). The acceptance range of the VSP port is DC 0V to +5V, and the corresponding motor speed is 0~rated speed; 2. The VSP port can input PWM signal speed regulation: Connect the positive pole of the PWM signal to the VSP port and the negative pole to GND1. By setting the PWM signal with a frequency of 100Hz~100KHz amplitude +5V, the PWM duty cycle can be changed to achieve speed regulation. Speed signal output (FG): The drive provides a motor speed pulse signal. This signal is proportional to the speed of the motor. Rotational speed calculation: Motor speed (RPM) = F÷N×60 F = The frequency on the FG pin is actually measured with a frequency meter N = number of pole pairs (N=2 for 2-pole motors; N=4 for 4-pole motors) For example, if the user chooses a 4-pole motor, then: when the output FG signal is 200Hz, the motor speed = 200÷4×60 = 3000rpm. Motor Forward/Reverse Signal (DIR): The forward and reverse rotation of the motor can be controlled by controlling the conversion of the high and low levels of the DIR terminal. Note: In order to avoid the huge impact of sudden reversal on the motor and mechanical equipment when the motor is running at high speed, when the DIR terminal receives the commutation signal, the driver first slows down the motor until it stops, and then the motor changes its direction and accelerates to the set speed. Motor Start/Stop Signal: Motor can be stopped and operated by switching between high and low levels of the control terminal EN. When EN is low level, the motor can operate normally. When EN is high level or not wired, the motor will stop working and be in free state, and the red light will stay on. When the start/stop terminal is used to control the motor stop, the motor will stop naturally, and its motion law is related to the load inertia. At this time, the driver input current is ≤ 30mA. EN and GND1 are shorted by default. Brake (X1): The stop and operation of motor can be controlled by controlling the high and low level conversion of the X1 terminal. When X1 is low level, the motor brake will stop running. When braking, the red light will go off; When X1 is high level or unwired, the motor is allowed to run. Safety Matters: â The wiring of the motor and driver shall be carried out in the state of power failure. Never wire when it is powered on. â Follow the wiring diagram to connect the power cable, motor winding cable and Hall signal cable. Note: The order of the three UVW phases must be consistent. â Do not disassemble the driver to prevent damage. â It is strictly forbidden to touch all terminals during power-on operation. â It is forbidden for the driver to operate without a casing. â Impacting the driver may cause damage. FAQ: 1. I am using the driver for the first time. How can I get started as soon as possible? After connecting the power cable, motor cable and Hall wire, the external potentiometer accelerates slowly. After the motor rotates correctly, the functions such as enable and direction can be tested in turn. If you are not familiar with this product, you should test it for the first time before installing it for actual use. 2. What is the impact of the power supply being connected reversely? The driver will be burned immediately. 3. What is the maximum voltage of the upper control signal? The maximum voltage of the speed control signal is 5V. Exceeding this voltage will cause the driver to burn out. 4. The shell is relatively hot after the driver works for a long time. Is this normal? Yes. At room temperature, when the driver works for a long time, its housing will reach 90°C without affecting performance. 5. The power supply indicator light is on, but the motor does not rotate and shakes. What causes this? It may be that there is an error between the phase line and the Hall line. Please re-wire and then power on to test. 6. With this driver, can I adjust the speed of my motor to 6000rpm? The maximum speed of a brushless motor is determined by the parameters of the motor itself. The drive can control the motor speed from 0 to the highest speed. 7.
