Description: Zeiss Ikon Ikoflex IIa 855/16 TLR Camera. Zeiss Opton Tessar 3.5/75mm 4-element taking lens, Teronar Anastigmat 3.5/75mm viewing lens. Synchro-Compur XM leaf shutter, 1 sec to 1/500 sec. An early example of the first Zeiss postwar TLR camera, a continuation of the Ikoflex II. Manufactured by Zeiss Ikon AG Stuttgart in 1951-52. Serial No. 2517488. Takes 120 film in 6x6 format, 12 shots per roll. Weighs 1.2kg. It is believed to be operating properly, all shutter speeds and aperture settings perform as expected. This camera has a very complex film loading procedure which I have also tested. The top of the camera requires some assistance to spring open. No visible lens fungus, dust, or heavy scratching. No separation or haze. Aesthetically it is well used with chipped paint and light rust in the chimney, the leatherette is worn but intact. This is a functional but old camera, comes with a free roll of 120 Porta 160.
