Description: Captivating wood hand carving from the estate of a gentleman who collected African art, carvings and masks. Although I know little about this area I respected and liked the fellow who passed so I thought I'd give a few items a try. Nice detail on the kneeling woman, especially the head. Perhaps she is in prayer or making an offering. Carved from a single piece of wood it is 10.25" tall. On the base of her left side there is a dime sized area where the wood has decayed, doesn't bother me but I thought I'd show it, see last photo. I'm always happy to combine ship if you purchase more than one of my items.
