Those capable drivers are housed in bass-reflex (ported) cabinets constructed of sturdy MDF covered in piano-gloss black laminate finish. The modest-sized NX-E300 speakers integrate well with any modern room décor. This pair of YAMAHA NX-E300 speakers is in clean, excellent condition. There are no dents, chips, or scratches on the cabinets, just some very light handling and usage marks from the years, primarily on the bottoms. Plus, the grilles are in great shape with no holes, runs, or stains to the cloth, solid frames with perfectly intact mount pegs, and nice YAMAHA emblems. These YAMAHA speakers are very well preserved overall. In addition, the woofers’ poly cones and voice coil dustcaps are perfect and the soft tweeter domes are flawless with no dimples. Plus, the woofers have permanent rubber surrounds that will last indefinitely. Most importantly, the NX-E300 speakers play strong and clear with fast, detailed midrange, sparkly highs rated to an impressive 28kHz, and good low end response for the woofer size. Plus, they’re rated up to 110 watts per channel, a power level few owners will ever push them to. Also, the binding post terminals are conveniently angled for drama-free connections and can accommodate banana plugs, pins, as well as fairly large gauge raw cable.
