This game-used, MLB-authenticated baseball comes from the REDSOX at TIGERS game in Detroit, 7/22/2018. This specific ball was used in the the top of the 2nd inning - pitched four times by Blaine Hardy. -First, it was pitched 3 times to XANDER BOGAERTS and struck for a double, career hit #774-Next, it was struck for an early career RBI via groundout by RAFAEL DEVERS, just the 79th RBI of his young career. The ball was then removed from play for authentication. Authenticated balls such as this are sent mid-game to sale to the public, and are sold by the team. The authentication is input by the on-site MLB authenticators, who apply the holograms and enter the details of the play. Authentications can be verified through the MLB.com site.
