He attended the local art school before graduating to the Royal College of Art. Meadows bridged pre-war pioneers of modern British sculpture (Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore), mentoring post-war star Elisabeth Frink — Meadows’ student and acolyte. First edition published by Cassell, London, in 1934. Free from ownership inscriptions and permanent markings to the text. Although interior condition is overall very good, book may display minor signs of use or age — such as the usual discolouration to old paper — consistent with a printed object of this vintage.
