Description: WWII USA WAR RATION BOOK FOUR WITH 185 WAR RATION STAMPS UNDATED - - You are bidding on one used War Ration Book Four with 96 Spare stamps plus 24 Coffee stamps plus one Sugar stamp plus 11 Blue stamps plus 50 Green stamps plus 3 Red stamps that was issued to me Albert E. Stimac. So the year was probably 1944. Has folds and tiny tears and other disturbances and in fair condition. Ration Book Number Four had four colored stamps. Green and blue stamps were used for processed foods such as canned and bottled fruits, juice, vegetables, soup, baby food, frozen food, spreads and dried foods. Red stamps continued to be used for meat. Black "spare" stamps were set up for future changes and were occasionally validated for the purchase of five extra pounds of pork.
