Description: A nice WWII trench art ashtray made from the bases of a Japanese shell casing. It is 3-1/2" across the flange and just under 1-1/4" high not including the cartridge casing in the center. The condition is very good with no damage and moderate patina. There are 3 spots on the bottom where feet may have been soldered on at one time.
