Description: WWII Era USMC Marine Corps Hawley Trooper Sun or Pith Helmet w/EGA Emblem - Very Nice Condition Up for sale is a WWII Era USMC Marine Corps Hawley Trooper Sun or Pith Helmet w/EGA Emblem. The EGA is the correct vintage brass version. The EGA is probably worth $40 to $50 alone. This is light weight Fiber Helmet used for hot weather climates. It is Dark Navy Gray color exterior and Green interior. The exterior was painted the Gray Color, you can see some white spots on the helmet. This is chips in the paint with the under coated color showing through. No rips or tears. It has the original head band and chin strap. It has the Hawley Trooper markings and is not dated. Finding these hat in Very NICE condition is somewhat difficult because of the fragile material with which they were made. The hat is used, please see photos for condition.
