Description: WWII Era US Army M1923 Aiming Device for the M1903 Springfield Rifle - NOS Unissued Condition Up for sale is a WWII Era US Army M1923 Aiming Device for the M1903 Springfield Rifle. This device was attached to the rear sight ladder and would permit an instructor to see through the mirror the point of aim of the trainee. This would permit the instructor to insure the trainee was aiming his rifle properly. The last three photos are from the reference book by William S. Brophy "The Springfield 1903 Rifle" page #334 & #335 show how this device was mounted. These are all in NOS Unissued Condition. They have never been used. may have some minor dust from storage over the years, See photos for condition.
