Description: Up for bid is an original USGI REAR SIGHT with AXIS SCREW for an M1917 rifle or sometimes called the P17 or American Enfield. The part is marked with a “E” for Eddystone. The finish is nice and smooth with signs of use and wear. This part is fully functional as designed. The screw threads are serviceable and the screw head shows only minor signs of twist. It has been tested by me in one of my own rifles. These original 1917 parts are getting scare and there are NONE being made any longer. Whether you are restoring one of these old war horses or hoping to get your current rifle into that 100% matching condition, you better get the part your need while you can risk being outbid by someone who wants it more.
