Description: This is a 'Buy it Now' for a 1914-15 Star Trio to a Trimmer/Engineman in the Royal Navy Reserve, with all the medals having the correct impressed naming as follows: 1914-15 Star to: T. S. 1882, C.H. SMITH. TR., R.N.R. British War Medal and Victory Medal to: 1882 T. S. C.H. SMITH. ENGN. R.N.R. Medals confirmed on Royal Navy medal roll and his service sheet. Charles Henry Smith was born in Grimsby, Lincolnshire on 22 November 1888. He enrolled for service with the Royal Navy Reserve on 25 January 1915, with his papers stating he was mobilised before he had undergone training, serving initially as a Trimmer and then as an Engineman. There is quite a bit of information on Charles in the two pages of his records and we also noticed a few hits for him on Ancestry, so more research required and certainly possible. He was demobilised to shore on 10 June 1919 from HMS Vivid at Devonport, then was finally discharged from the RNR in 1924. The medals are in EF condition with only minor wear and will come protected in plastic medal wallets. Documents included a two pages of his Royal Navy Reserve service sheet plus a copy of the medal roll, and we can send these documents to the buyer via email or an eBay message. Any questions please by all means send us an email, which can be found below in the Business Seller Information details. We do accept PayPal, but would much rather have a personal cheque or bank transfer if at all possible please - Thank you.
