Description: Sepia type print with greenish tints. Wonderful Vintage Print Ad, Framed. Reads at the bottom: "Contributed toward the winning of the War by Bauer & Black, Makers of Surgical Dressings, etc. Chicago, New York, Toronoto. Features the painting by Philip Lyford Doughboys "We Shall Not Sleep" and has the text on the side that starts out: "We shall not sleep, in Flanders fields the poppies blow between the crosses row on row, that mark our place and in the sky, scarce heard amidst the guns below ..." written by Col. McCrae. Some details of its origin, also, written underneath. This is a framed print in very good condition with ordinary aging from being stored over long periods of time in an attic that obviously had extremes of hot and cold, thus, the bit of aging marks that extend up to the print, itself. It has a hanger on the back. 11" x 17" with framed size: 13"x18". Frame is just as old with its only defect being a nick on the bottom center border and could use a little furniture polish.
