Description: T-5 parachute buckle that were found in the Saint Mere Eglise area. Compaired to many other relics, this shows minimal rust is is in very good condition. Sainte Mere Eglise was the first town liberated by the allies and the scene of heavy fighting on June 6th, 1944 when paratroopers of the 101st and 82nd Airborne division landed in the town between 1:30 and 2:30am. This relic was found by a friend who lived in the area in the 1980's. I gathered a large collection of D-day relics throughout the years that I plan to downsize. Feel free to ask any questions.
