Description: WWII era 1st Pattern Mountain Rucksack as used by troops in the Alaskan Aleutian Islands Campaign against the Japanese near the beginning of the war. Good used condition, fairly clean and in great shape for being over 80 years old. Faintly dated 1941 or 1942. All zippers and clasps actuate and function. Waist strap is present. There is a small field repair on the top right hand side of the pack, about 1”x1”. This is the 1st pattern steel frame variant with the canvas straps rather than leather. This has been in climate controlled indoor storage for at least the last 40 years, if not longer than that! This is a fairly large, rigid item so I will attempt to ship it in the most cost effective way possible. Any shipping overages will be refunded.
