Description: Dug out in Kurland Dug out on positions of Soviet 8th Estonian Rifle Corps, found without soldier. The canteen is found in a place where Estonians went into attack to capture Blidene railway station East of Frauenburg, in this place Estonians met fierce German resistance and had high casualties. Pre-war aluminium canteen, made in Leningrad, very rare to see in battles of 1944-1945, usually with troops from Leningrad front. Scroll down to see better photos.
