This Murphy Combat knife would make an important addition to any collection. This knife is ID'd--making it especially collectible! Many collectors like to research veteran ID'd knives to discover the soldier's service record. The sheath is marked 'R.G. GOFF'. The sheath is also marked 'OKINAWA'. Note the three notches on one side of the handle--you know what that usually means... The aluminum handle is marked on one side 'MURPHY COMBAT'. The reverse side is marked 'U.S.A.'. This knife measures 11 9/16" overall. The blade measures 6" from blade tip to the nearest part of the handle. The scabbard is an original Murphy. CONDITION: This WW2 Murphy Combat knife is in exceptional condition. The blade was sharpened on a stone. There is no rust or pitting. The sheath always gets cut by the blade on the left of the throat--the sheath throat was reinforced by cloth surgical tape long ago. ***International Customers: Shipping can seem high on certain items, because tracking and insurance (required for higher cost items) is expensive when shipping internationally.
