Description: You are bidding on a SUPERB set of WW2 German Wehrmacht 10x50 Leitz Binoculars and Case! These were brought back by US veteran at the end of the war. The German Army and Navy used a wide variety of optical equipment, including a 6x30 (6 power magnification with 30mm objective lens), 7x50, 8x30, 10x50 and others, being the standard issued optics used by all branches of service. Though this type was the standard, specialized personnel required stinger optics, and were issues to personnel on a limited basis.Made of aluminum, bakelite, and steel, by Ernst Leitz (beh), these 10x50 power binoculars are in AMAZING used condition! The lens bodies retain about 95% of their original, finish, and the end piece fittings are 100% intact! The focus adjustments still function perfectly on both eye pieces, and the optics are CRYSTAL CLEAR, with NO spotting or haziness! In PERFECT alignment, the right side shows a ranging scale (though not photographed). Right side is body marked:Dienstglas10x50433562beh+Comes complete the ORIGINAL Neck Strap, Rain Shield and Case! The Case is near PERFECT, with minimal scratching and wear. It features a manufacture code and date, indicating, "cny 43". The Leather Case Strap is very dry, and has broken in places, so not usable, but it is the original to this set. The Rain Shield is the later rubber type, and is still very flexible, but has a small crack near the right side rivet (does not affect the functional. Neck Strap is solid with no damage. EASILY one of the NICEST sets I have seen in a while, it would make for a SUPERB addition to any collection or display! Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
