The makers mark and date are visible on back side, however, too hard for my old eyes to read. May not be legible. See photographs. FINAL WORD Yes, the bayonet and scabbard are refurbished. That doesn’t mean I grind and try to hide defects. I simply clean and recluse them in my own bluing tank. No, the Serial Numbers do not match. On the flip side, a 1936 Berg is quite scarce, and the Berg 41 Scabbard is downright rare.
