Description: WW2 British Lee Enfield Rifle Sling 1945 RAF Blue - Military Army Reproduction Description Brand new reproduction Lee Enfield rifle sling, as used by the British Royal Air Force in WW2. The Lee Enfield is the iconic rifle that saw service with the British Army for many decades. Throughout the Second World War, the Lee Enfield SMLE MkIII saw extensive use in various regions such as Northern France, North Africa, and the Pacific by the British Army and Commonwealth forces. In 1941, a new version of the Lee Enfield rifle, the Number 4 (No 4) Mk 1 was introduced into service. Similar to the older SMLE, the Number 4 was lighter, and easier to mass produce. An impressive rifle with it's great accuracy, and it's .303 calibre round, it was used for decades later and in various forms, such as a Sniper rifle variant. This sling is an accurate reproduction of the originals used. It is 111cm (43 1/2 Inches) in length, and with two strong brass fixtures on each end to attach to the Rifle. We have also had the slings stamped with wartime markings 'M.E.Co. 1944'. Made from thick cotton webbing in RAF blue with brass metal fixtures, this Sling is perfect for your Lee Enfield Rifle.
