WW2 American matchbox - Independence Safety Match

Description: Dress your set piece with these new old stock real wooden matchboxes finished with period labels based upon items in my own collection. I have reproduced these items after online research and seeing photos that they were issued to the 4th Inf Div near Torquay, May 1944 and also the 100th Infantry Division Christmas Eve 1944 Bitche, France. I have included these pictures in the gallery here. These come with full contents and original strikers, no reproduction boxes just the label. So a real authentic look is achieved. It has taken me over a year to find these wooden boxes so look after them, they will be hard to replace, but still completely useable if you wish. As with all my designs i try to keep a screen printed feel to them and they are hand cut. Some labels may look bigger than others. This is because i steam off the old labels and then replace. So each one is cut to suit each box. Please note my current box stock is from an old collection, so some strikers may have marks on them. Also all matches are now new as this stock came without any. Some of the inner box draws will be pure wood, some will be purple. Its just a matter of what stock i can get hold of. You are buying one box from the photo not all the boxes.
