Description: This unique paper knife formed from a riffle bullet and inscribed Audruick France on its blade is a stunning example of trench art created during the tumultuous times of World War I. Assuming that Audruick was is the misspelled French town of Audruicq which became known as Number 10 Ordnance Depot. On 4 February 1916, a Railway Troops Depot for collecting and distributing personnel for four new Railway Construction Companies that had recently been authorised. It remained working at the site until relocating to Saint-Omer on 20 July 1916. Good condition with expected signs of age and wear, please refer to detailed photos provided.
