Description: WW1 or 2 TRENCH ART Artillery Shell Lamp 22" Tall & 9" base, with tooled embossed (7) Roses and Dimples. see the photo with the ball cap for size comparison. I have rewired it so it is safe and Works great. all the metal surfaces are the same metal silver/grey color/plating! This lamp seems to be less crudely made than most, because of the plating and The base is very precisely made to accommodate the Shell, perhaps done on a lathe!? The only place the copper is showing through the plating is where the nose meets the shell, see photos Not sure if it is WW1 or WW2 the found wiring is more modern but could have been rewired before I did.But in researching the lamps available on eBay, most of the lamps from WW1 seem to have the roses tooled on them as this one does. The last two photos show the bulbs upwards after unscrewing the lamp arms 180 degrees. The light bulbs and ball cap are not included with this listing. No AI was used to write this!
