Description: Poppy Medal Framing offer a WW1 Memorial Display comprising: resin cast black Brodie helmet fitted to WW1 SMLE Rifle-cast in lead free pewter-inverted into black resin base surmounting a solid dark granite base surmounting an oak larger base(the oak base may change for other wood base but I will advise if this is the case as unsure if once the oak runs out I can purchase these again). There is the facility to add 1 or 2 small nameplates to the display please enquire for this further service The whole display stands approx 235mm high, the granite base is approx 95mm square and the oak base is approx 115mm square-a UK pound coin is photographed for scale and is NOT included. This is a display piece to simulate the WW1 temporary grave markers where a soldier had fallen his comrades would invert the rifle into the ground and surmount his brodie helmet onto the butt of the rifle. The image has become an icon for the the fallen of all wars. All the component parts are separate and are easily put together on receipt.
