Description: A very nice example of a World War One Officer's Cap Badge for The Women's Auxiliary Army Corps Created in 1917, Britain was the first European country to recruit women into its Armed Forces and as such the WAACS were employed in a number of roles. These included clerks, mechanics and cooks etc so freeing up more men from these branches to join Kitchener's Army as fighting units in The Trenches of the Western Front. A smashing officer quality brass cap badge with a lovely patina and complete with its folding rear lugs, this is another very good looking WW-I cap badge..
