WW II Navy Ephemera lot with Sec. James Forrestal signed letter

Description: Gleaned from keepsakes of a WW II Navy Veteran this ephemera and insignia group shadows military service beginning with a 1940 dated draft registration, all manner of ephemera from arrival notification at the U. S. Naval Training Station in Newport to life at the U. S. Naval Air Station, Clinton, Oklahoma to a temporary chow pass card U. S. Navy Fleet Yokosuka, Japan to an insignia group and finally a letter of congratulations signed by Secretary of the Navy James Forrestal. Not a big deal but a neat little personal grouping that deserves to stay together and appreciated. All too varied to list here we realize this is sort of a ’grab-bag’ but we have tried to compensate with the illustrations and keep the opening bid in line with the Forrestal letter alone.
