Description: In 1898 Julius Adolf Hoyer (1874-1943) joined with August Spindler (1870-1927) to establish the optical company of Spindler & Hoyer in Göttingen. His line of products were unusually expensive. His product quality was what sold them to theWEHRMACHT. During the two world wars, he was the main supplier of binoculars to the German army. The company has changed it's name but is still in business if you wanted to replace any parts. New name:Linos AG.These binoculars were given to my father who was with the 34th Division during WW2 by a german officer he captured. I have had them ever since. The straps are original but the strap on the hard-shell case is one I made. If you are a collector, these are the real thing and I understand pretty rare. They are 6x30 power. And also the lens has range markings in case you want to know how far that tank out in the field is.If you are not a collector and you just want to look in your neighbor's window...they work fine for that too...I assume.
