Description: A glorious antique Georgian 18k gold pearl and turquoise floral daisy ring, dating to circa 1800. What a truly gorgeous, cheerful and happy ring this is! At over 200 years old this beautiful closed-back Georgian solid 18k yellow gold ring still looks absolutely fabulous on the finger, the ring is in the form of a pretty daisy flower with a central natural Persian turquoise cabochon which glows a lovely robin's egg blue surrounded by a halo of natural pearls, the turquoise prong-set in a raised setting giving the ring wonderful depth, the pearls bezel-set with light catching little etched lines around the edge, the daisy sits between incredible tri-split shoulders finely carved with intricately detailed scrolling leaves leading to a classic Georgian reeded band-stunning and an absolute joy to wear! The ring is unmarked and tests for 18k gold. The ring is approximately a size 6 1/4. The flower measures approximately 10mm across. All the stones measure between +/-2.5-3mm. The ring rises about 5mm above the finger and weighs approximately 2.9 grams. The ring is in general very good condition with all over light general wear. The pearls look original to the ring and over the centuries have some discoloration and deterioration to the nacre. Please check all the pictures.
