Description: Very nice World War I US M-1910 canteen, cup, and WWII-dated carrier. The canteen was manufactured by B.A. CO. in 1918, and bears the "US" property mark next to the date and manufacturer. The canteen retains its original brass chain and cap - although the cap is missing the cork gasket. The cup was manufactured by L.F.&C. (Landers, Frary & Clark), and is also dated 1918. The handle has some interesting markings that I cannot identify - "K11500". The canteen carrier is of the 1910 pattern, and was manufactured by Baker Lockwood, with what appears to be a date of 1941 under the stitched seam - it's very difficult to see, but it's there. While a mismatched set like this could have been assembled at any time, it's important to remember that the Quartermaster Corps often assembled such pieces that were lacking components - which were then recycled back into service. Could potentially have seen service in both wars. A great looking set and ready for display! The canteen remains in good condition, showing signs of age, use, and wear. Heavy age toning is evident, as well as typical dents and scratches from actual use. The cup is mechanically sound, and also shows typical wear from use. The cover is good, also showing signs of age, use and wear. Please see the pictures for more detail. Guaranteed 100% authentic in every respect for life.
