Description: Please let me start off saying that I'm not a book expert at all, so all this information is just my opinion, you'll have to be the judge of this fantastic collector's item for yourself. This book is SIGNED by the publisher BERNICE B. MILLER MAXFIELD, to the famous 36 Soldier Pat and Neil Patterson best regards,Bernice B Miller Maxfield September 7th 1975, and on the bottom of that says , page 129 Oscar Paul Patterson Rainbow division World War I, so I believe she is writing this and signing this book to this particular soldier , maybe, and I believe this particular gentleman is pictured on page 129, which is super cool now of course this is all my opinion . Please also note this is not a dated World War I book , but it is a FIRST EDITION of 1975 , about the World War I, which I think is super cool and fantastic. I think this would be a fantastic addition, to anyone collecting World War I memorabilia, and it's a must-have in my opinion. Please also note this item is NOT AUTHENTICATED , I think its a real signature of the publisher , I don't know why anybody would fake something cool like this . I think it's authentic , but that's just my opinion . the book itself is pretty rare as it is , and again like I said before it is a FIRST EDITION says it right in the book , now inside the book I found some other documents, one says Neil M Patterson a retired Association card, the extra documentation or paperwork that I found in the book , maybe from family members or someone else who just left it there , but it does go with the book. .I found a couple other like reunion Association pages , not a big deal in my opinion , but it does come with the book , so I will leave it with the book, still pretty cool ( check out the pictures ).... now I found this item on the east coast of the United States, the Maryland area to be exact. I did absolutely nothing to this item except take pictures, I didn't try to restore it anyway. Now there are yellowing of the pages, some stains, fingerprints, and on the pages of course writing , on some of the pages , but nothing too bad , and I believe all to be expected, for as old as this book is . I think it's in nice condition. the dust cover is in rough shape , does have rips and tears, parts that are coming off the book, so the dust cover is in bad shape.. But either way this is got some great information about Texas , and how they built and help the war in 1917 and 1918 . the citizens of Fort Worth TEXAS erecting buildings for the war effort , and much much more, what a fantastic book and a great collectors item. Again it says right on the book first edition. Please make sure and take a look at all the pictures . this is definitely the only one that I have, and I really want this to go to a great collector who can enjoy it as I did. If you have any questions at all, or need more pictures, feel free to contact me. Thank you so much for looking and good luck.....
