Description: Magnatone Custom 410 Model Tube Guitar Amplifier (1962), made in Fullerton, California, brown fabric covering finish. Mostly celebrated today for their true pitch shifting vibrato circuit, Magnatone amplifiers of the 1950s and 1960s were one of the best regarded competitors to the world-beating amps being built a stretch down the road by Fender. This 1962 Model 410 is rather sweet at low volumes with a wonderful crunchy snarl when pushed. The control panel offers high and low gain inputs, volume and tone controls with a "Bright-Mellow" switch, and the vibrato controls, which are this amp's secret weapon. The 410 is the smallest of Magnatone's trem-o-lastic classics, and one of the best amps of its era -- even including their Fullerton neighbor's competition! Height is 20 in. (50.8 cm.), 16 in. (40.6 cm.) width, and 9 in. (22.9 cm.) deep. This amp is tested working and in overall excellent condition for it's age. Scuffs around the edges, but no tears or punctures in fabric. Handle is in excellent shape, 2-prong cord holds well in a socket. Please see photos. Has been stored indoors for decades. Comes from smoke-free home. Fast shipping from Oregon.
