Description: For sale is a vintage souvenir promotional building bank replica of the Worcester County Institution for Savings in Worcester, MA. It was cast in lead by Kronheimer & Oldenbusch [K&O] ca. 1910. Listed as # 1095 in Monumental Miniatures and # 857 in Replica Buildings: A Visual History. Along its base -- both front & rear -- it reads: "Worcester Covnty Institvtion for Savings " -- with the words 'county' and 'institution' spelled with a 'v' instead of a 'u' in keeping with the bank name's actual spelling [see photos!]. The bank is in great condition. Openings on top for "Bills" and coins. The trap is intact but there is no key. The number on the trap is #488. The bank is very heavy, weighing a hefty 2 1/2 lb. and measuring 4 5/8" W x 3 1/4" D x 2 7/8" H. Please ask any questions you might have beforehand. This bank doesn't come up for sale very often so don't miss out.
