Marvel announced at the San Diego Convention back in 2006 that Jeph Loeb and Simone Bianchi will take over Wolverine beginning with Wolverine #50. But for collectors, the big news was the reveal of the special hidden message variant to Wolverine: Origins. Retailers and customers did not know beforehand and were expecting two equally distributed covers for the book but Marvel actually shipped three versions of Wolverine: Origins #3: the regular Joe Quesada and alternate Bianchi covers, and the much shorter-shipped hidden message Bianchi variant. At first glance, the Bianchi covers look identical, but look closely and you can see four key differences. Below Wolverine's right hand, you can see "W" (for Wolverine) and "50" for the issue they're jumping onto for that title. Above his right hand, you can see the words "Loeb" and "Bianchi" in the tiles.
