Description: New Old Stock Wood Socket Chisel Handle Rare Find SEE DETAILED PICTURES BELOW DESCRIPTION This is one of many New Old Stock chisel handles that I will be listing over the next few months. All of these come from a 100 year old hardware store auction, all vary in size, color, wood species, shape, and most importantly CONDITION. Although they are new, They were all stored in a drawer of plane parts knobs, totes, irons, and hardware. So some are near perfect and some are a bit scratched chipped or dented. I took great care in taking very close up pictures and I will explain any imperfections with each. Ignore the sticker labels in the pictures its for my records. This One Is A : Wood handle for a socket style chisel. 3 1/2" long. Unused leather butt (unstruck) TOOL IT FITS : I am unsure it may fit a Witherby, Stanley, Buck Bros, Greenlee, Swan, Pexto, or some other chisel gouge or slick ????????? HEIGHT OR LENGTH : 3 1/2" HANDLE DIAMETER : 1 3/8" COLOR : Yelloish Tan WOOD SPECIES : Uncertin Maybe Oak Or Ash? FINISH : Stain & Some form of Laquer or Just Laquer? CONDITION : Overall Still Glossy near mint. The one flaw is shown in pictures a minor 1/2" scuff dent not very noticeable.
