Unlike other systems, our reader is as plug-and-play as it gets. Connect it to your local Wi-Fi network, enter the activation code provided by SMRT, and start taking payments instantly! The WisePOS E is also a low-maintenance system that requires users to do little to no extra upkeep by using its online functionality to receive over-the-air updates whenever they are available. While it is possible to purchase the reader without a dock, the BBPOS E Dock is a required accessory for Ethernet connectivity, and it is recommended by SMRT for most POS environments. The terminal is normally connected to the internet over wifi or ethernet. Please note: This credit card terminal will only work with an active SMRT POS subscription.
