This volume sure makes for some interesting reading and has much of historical significance, especially considering this was published when battles of the Civil War were still being waged. Has a good index, so items of interest can more easily be found for specific cities, towns and villages. In addition to the laws, also interesting are the resolutions, memorials and list of appropriations. Some examples: $33. for brooms for Institute for the blind, $29.70 to James Clark for visiting Indian tribes in 1862, $210.70 to G. B. Griffin for meals for returned soldiers. Overall condition is good. Pages are not brittle nor fragile and can be handled and read without fear of degradation. Moderate foxing on first and last blank pages and lesser amounts of foxing on interior pages. No interior markings. Not ex-library. No torn or bent pages. Binding holding well.
