Description: "Win Rockefeller Family Album" from Winthrop Rockefeller's 1966 Arkansas gubernatorial campaign. This is a very nice "photo album" style booklet filled with photos and captions -- but the greatest historical interest is a photo that shows a Black child and a white child dancing together in the model school he funded in Morrilton -- a school that he was forced to keep segregated in order to build. A few years later, when the community did not pass a needed tax increase for the school, it contributed to his decision to enter politics. Rockefeller is clearly not backing away from integration and he signals it here. About 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", 16 pages, softcover, fully illustrated. Good condition as shown with some minor soiling to the back page and cover. It displays really well. A rare booklet and an awesome addition to any collection. I ship every day the post office is open with your item safely packed the way it deserves to be. I always combine shipping and will refund back any overage when you buy multiple items.
