Description: Lord Randolph Churchill Winston S. Churchill New York: Macmillan and Company, 1906 First edition Condition: Good This was Churchill's first biographic work about his father, Lord Randolph's career in Parliament after 1880. Lord Randolph died in January 1895 at age 45 following the spectacular collapse of both his health and political career. This work was published in 1906, Winston Churchill already had half a dozen books to his credit and half a decade in Parliament. Here is a good set. The red cloth bindings remain square and tight, with some wear to extremities. The Spine has some of the typical sunning, but still retaining bright gilt and reddish color. The contents remain quite bright with some spotting. There is a previous owner’s stamped imprint on the title page denoting ownership of the volume. This is the same with the second volume. The corners have some slight bumping to them. Overall a good condition set.
