Date 1919, This old rifle functioned as it should, There was no bluing left, For the most part age Patina, It had some dings & scratches From years of Use,, The only issues to note: it had a smooth forearm not ribbed, and someone had painted the front sight silver years ago, Another Interesting NOTE About this old rifle, under the Butt Plate a hole was drilled into the Wood, in this hole I found a 1938 Iowa Hunting License folded in half and rolled up in amazingly Good condition.
