Description: William Kerr Art Deco hand hammered sterling silver travel soap box with gilt interior. The box measures 3 5/8" x 2 5/8" x 1 3/4" thick in the closed position and weighs 100 grams. It is in very good condition with no dents or scratches and appears to have never been used. The interior shows a light gilt finish with no gold losses and is spotless with no stains or odors. The box snaps closed tight and flush all the way around. Could also be used as a trinket or keepsake box. The top of the box shows a PHC monogram. Any dark spots seen on the silver in the pics are merely reflections of the surroundings. Stamped on the inside edge sterling 5950-2 along with the Kerr maker's mark.
