Description: Here we have a fantastic blu ray box set of four films from the legendary schlockmeister and mid-century maestro of cinematic ballyhoo: William Castle. Presented by the terrific British boutique home video label Powerhouse/Indicator, William Castle at Columbia: Volume Two gives the deluxe special edition treatment to the following Bill Castle gems: "Zotz!" "13 Frightened Girls," "The Old Dark House," and "Strait Jacket." This limited edition set (#5,928 of 6,000) includes beautifully restored presentations of all four films, commentary tracks, interviews, documentaries, isolated music/effects tracks, and much more! Each film has its own keepcase; these are nestled in a sturdy chipboard slip-box. All four movies are accompanied by thick booklets with new essays, archival interviews, production photos, and vintage advertising materials. This now out-of-print set is brand new & still factory-sealed. I have more than one pal who knows I'm a big fan of classic cinematic schlock, so I was lucky enough to receive two copies of this set for my birthday awhile back. I'm definitely keeping my viewing copy, but I thought I would pass my spare along to a fellow fan of William Castle's unique oeuvre. Shipping is free. However, due to rights restrictions, the fourth film---"Strait Jacket"---is region locked to Region B enabled players only. This disc will not play in a standard North American blu ray player, which are restricted to Region A & region free discs only. If you wish to view the "Strait Jacket" disc, you will need either a Region B enabled player or an "All Region" blu ray player. However, if you're a fan of "Strait Jacket," there's no need to despair: all region blu ray players are readily available here in the States.
