The Irem Temple was the home of the Shriner's in Wilkes Barre from 1908 to the early 2000's. It is considered the most significant examples of Moorish Revival Architecture in the country. Over the years it was rented out for Broadway shows, concerts, lectures, graduations, and even weddings. It closed in 2005 and is being considered for renovation.
