Description: One wonderful natural dark oak wood safari chair, designed by Wilhelm Kienzle / Kare Klint, in 1928 for Wohnbedarf and manufactured in the early 1950s in Switzerland, with frame made of stained solid dark oak wood, waxed clear, with beautiful cognac leather and great patina. Covering in original vintage strong leather, adjustable backrest, wood-to-wood joints are designed for the chair to be completely disassembled into a small weekender bag.As all chairs are handmade, each item has its individual patina, size and tarnish. Two belts underneath have been replaced and waxed with dark brown leather wax. Replaced leather strings on chair legs, well made. 3 Replaced seat straps below seating leather, self made. One strap original ( could be all made better, but work fine and are not visible, priced in)The chair is int usable vintage condition.
