Description: For sale is a sugar sifter spoon in the LOUIS XV pattern by Whiting, introduced in 1891. The spoon is 5 ½ inches long and weighs 29 grams. The bowl is gilded over a stippled finish. It has a combination of round and leaf-shaped piercings. The piece has not been monogrammed. The piece is marked with the Whiting trademark, "STERLING" and "PAT. 1891". Condition on the spoon is good. There is normal wear from use, and the gilding is in decent shape. A nice old serving piece!
