Description: Whitetail Deer Skull from a Buck with Jaw Bones – good conditionHERE'S THE STORY: I noticed this dead deer 2-3 years ago in a woods near my house. I left it alone for nature to do its thing. This past spring, I notice all the soft tissue & hair were gone, so I brought it home. Referring to the Boneyard Beetleworks website for their 5 step skull cleaning process, I skipped to step 4 (degrease) since nature had completed steps 1-3 and followed this step using Dawn & hot water. I did not do step 5 (whiten) because I wanted to keep its natural color. NOTES: 1) There are gnawing marks around the right orbital / eye socket. 2) Of the 8 teeth originally in the tip of the jaw, 1 remains. From a non-smoking home.
