Description: For sale in this listing is a Fat model Xbox 360 console with a Falcon revision motherboard and the New Xbox Experience (NXE) dashboard with the Kinect update on it. This console has a service date of: 2009/05/01, which means that this console has been fixed by Microsoft at some point and likely had a motherboard replacement due to it previously having the red ring of death. The NXE dashboard is unique, because most Xbox 360 consoles are on the Metro dashboard which doesn't evoke as much nostalgia as the NXE or Blades dashboards do. That being said, you have to be mindful of which games you insert into this console as if the game is newer than the date that this NXE Dashboard released, the disk will not let you play the game until you let it update the dashboard (which you wouldn't want to do, so it's better not to risk it). Plus, you wouldn't want to connect this console to the internet either, because Xbox Live will force you to update to the Metro dashboard as well... ***NOTE This console was reading disks when I last made this listing, but upon testing it before sending it to the buyer who last purchased this console, I found that this Xbox 360 is now giving the open tray error, exactly like my other NXE Xbox 360 listing (before I sold it). It is possible that knocking on the top of the console (in the disk drive region) may work, but I haven't tried to do this on this one... This console contains two additional problems aside from the Open tray error. The two issues are: 1. If the Xbox 360 doesn't have a disk in it, the disk tray won't open... Therefore, when you receive this console, you have to manually eject the disk tray first if you want to put any disk in it.As long as you keep a disk in the disk drive it seems to eject the disk every single time, but if you boot the console with no disk in it, it will refuse to open the disk drive until you manually eject it by pushing a thin piece of metal like a paper clip into a slot on the front of the Xbox 360 after you remove the face plate. (You can find Youtube videos that can demonstrate this more easily than I can describe it here) 2. I wasn't able to get any wireless controllers to connect to it, so you can only use this console if you happen to own a wired Xbox 360 controller. One final thing of note (that isn't really an issue, but is kind of alarming) is that when it powers up, it might make a loud buzzing sound that sounds really bad, but it always makes this noise when you close the disk drive without a disk in it... What is included: - The Xbox 360 shown above with its issues listed. - An OEM Xbox 360 PSU If you have any questions about this listing or would like to see some more images, feel free to send me a message and I will respond as soon as I can.
