Description: This is a very unique Westinghouse pressure gauge that was made by ASHCROFT manufacturing. It was definately used for one of Mr. Westinghouse's air brake systems no doubt as the company was located in Wilmerding PA. I had no idea that the Ashcroft gauge manufacturing company had been in business for so long either. (1852 FYI) The backing plate is cast iron which is very different from the normal guage that just uses a stamped steel case. Just what you need to add some gravitas to your work bench or Steam Punk creation! Gauge is still functional but I can't verify it to +/- 2% :-)I want my ebay buyer to be completely happy with their purchase from me.
