Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE A discolored cabinet card photo of Mlle. Coretta, a famous little person who performed with the Ringling Bros. Circus. She was a talented performer from 1904-1912. Mlle Coretta was born Ruby Bell Rickoff in 1899. She joined Ringling Bros. Circus in 1904 when she was five years old. She died in 1912 in an accident while riding in a parade with her circus manager. The cabinet photo was taken by Frank Wendt in Boonton, N.J. The caption reads "Mlle Coretta, Age 21 years, Height 21 Inches" but should read (11) years. 4 ¼” x 6 ½”. Viewing many different photos of Coretta, the ages vary widely from age 9 to age 21. If she was born in 1899 and died in 1912, the oldest she could be is 13. The main portion of the image is clean. Discoloration along the edges and back; possibly from fire. Priced in as found condition.
