When shopped out, the 4900 has proven to be one of the most reliable early CRT monitors, but over time many capacitors and components wear out, causing issues such as washed out colors, bending on the sides, lines and bars on the screen and more. What you get for the price posted is a cleaning of the chassis, replacement of the capacitors with modern replacements, a reflow of all key solder joints and a thorough testing of the chassis. If the flyback needs to be replaced, there will be an extra charge but this is not super common. We cannot accept chassis that have physical cracks or breaks or a broken width coil at this time, as replacements are not presently easy to source.
