Description: You are viewing an original, museum quality Aurora model kit of THE CRUSADER, number K-7, circa 1958. Painted by me in 1985 and kept in a dust-free cabinet in a smoke-free and pet-free home. THE CRUSADER was painted with matte-finish acrylic paints and the dry-brush technique. This is an actual Aurora model kit and not a copy or recast. Note the bottom of the base, which is in light blue (the actual color of the unpainted plastic) and bears the Aurora logo and copyright year 1958. This CRUSADER model has been carefully assembled and seamed so none of the joints between the various parts are visible – please examine the photos. Note I did not add the horizontal shoulder strap and shoulder plates – see photo of CRUSADER instructions. However, I added a paper pennant to the lance. I also added real sand to the top of the base. Note also I did not use the decals: the red cross on the tunic and the lion insignia on the shield and on both sides of the lance pennant I painted by hand. No box or instructions – what you see in the photos is what you get, except of course the “turntable” it’s displayed on. SOLD IS AS. NO RETURNS.
